Skag is a hub for controlling Scandianavia. It touches upon Nor, Swe and Den. It is probably most effective as a position from which to support units in or moving into any of the above mentioned SCs. He who controls Skag is well on his way to owning Nor, Swe and Den as well.

When playing England, it is probably more important to hold Skag at the end of 1901 than it is to hold the North Sea. If you intend to kick Russia out of Swe in 1902 this is where you need to have a fleet. of course, this strategy works best when you convince France not to build a fleet in Bre during Winter 1901.
