Nice Homepage! I might have a comment for Sevastopol:
Bi-yearly naval exercises with the Turkish navy.
At least, in most games of Diplomacy I played both the Russian and the
Turkish fleets kept going to the Black Sea and bounced. This has become
such a habit that me and my friends call it a joint-venture naval
exercise.

Sevastopol is a key province in Russia's game. He needs
it to conquer Turkey, and to adequately defend from him.
Sev-Bla in Spring '01 is an obvoius move, but if Russia can get in, he
has a strong position for both invading Turky and capturing
the Balkans. Sevastopol is also useful in land warefare. Supporting ukr-rum early in the game is a
good plan. Don't let Austro-hungary or Turkey snatch that little treat!
With support from ukr and mos, Sevastopol is a
veritable fortress. One of Russia's best
offensive and defensive spots, Sevastopol shouldn't miss an
opportunity to backdoor Turkey through
arm if those Ottomans are sending most of their forces
against the Balkans and leaving their right
flank unguarded. Sevastopol is one of the most flexible
provinces in the game, and Russia's most
strategic position.
