According to a post on rec.games.diplomacy, Clyde is definitely the least visited province on the Diplomacy map. We're glad to see that you're interested in Clyde, because apparently nobody else is.

Clyde

Clyde is not particularly useful to the ENGlish player, but to any other power that place a unit there it is a useful threat.

Cly threatens both Lvl and Edi by both land and sea. In mid or late game when ENG has moved most of its forces to other locations on the board, an enemy force in Cly puts pressure on ENG to call forces back to the Island for defense.

Just sitting there can be a thorn in ENG's side.
